Easy Pineapple Ice Cream
April 16, 2007 |
I recently purchased this Ice Cream & Sorbet Maker. It makes frozen yogurt, too. I love it! It is very easy to use and makes great tasting ice cream. (I just wish it would automatically remove all of the calories, from each of my ice cream recipes.)
You freeze the inner container, pour in the ingredients and 20 minutes later you have a better than store bought product. At this point, it’s basically soft-serve ice cream… but it will continue to harden, in the freezer… if you can wait that long.
Yesterday, I made yummy pineapple ice cream. It was just a ‘throw together’ recipe that turned out better than expected. (I guess I was in a rebellious mood and decided against using an actual recipe.)
I used:
2 c. whipping cream
1 c. milk
2/3 c. sugar
1 T. vanilla extract (make your own)
1 can crushed pineapple (drain completely)
That’s all there was to it. I was drooling even before if was finished. Homemade ice cream is SO much better than what you buy at your local grocery store.
The retail price of this ice cream maker is $59. I found mine on eBay, brand new, for right around $38.

I love it when quick whim recipes come together so well. I find that mine and my friends favorite recipes are things that I threw together in a few seconds before an event.
Never restrict yourself to recipe or reason. Kitchen Rebels all the way.
I love pineapple and I bet homemade pineapple icecream is yummy!!
