Product Review: Baker’s Edge Brownie Pan
May 23, 2007 |
Things have been very hectic here, lately. It seems like forever but I finally got the chance to try out my Baker’s Edge Brownie Pan. All I can say is… I LOVE IT!
I decided to use Ghirardelli Walnut Brownie mix, for my trial run. It was the only mix I had, on hand. The directions indicated that I should use an 8 x 8 pan, which worried me a bit, but I was pleasantly surprised at the outcome.
When you are spreading the batter in the pan, you might think that the brownies are going to be skimpy because you should really be using a smaller pan. But, I found that’s not the case. If you prefer super thick brownies, you may want to use a mix that calls for a 13 x 9 pan, instead.
My brownies turned out great. They were moist and chewy with the kind of edges that I love. The only thing I’ll do different the next time I use my Bakers Edge Brownie Pan is let the brownies bake for the entire, recommended, time.
The box said 38 – 42 minutes. I was afraid of over baking them, so I took them out after 35 minutes.
I love my Bakers Edge Pan. I already have quite a long list of recipes I plan on baking in it. It would make a great wedding shower present or a nifty gift for anyone who loves to bake.

sound delicious definately trying this one…
You mention having a long list of recipes you plan on using the pan for-can you use it for other types of baked goods besides brownies? Does that separator thing on the top come off?
And P.S. you mention freezing Michigan winters in your barbecue post. Forgive me if I already asked you this, but do you live in Michigan? Merry, I live in Michigan! In Lansing! Is it a small freaking world or WHAT?
Sounds yummy……I can’t wait to give it a whirl myself.
