Using Coupon Binders

December 1, 2007 |

Last week, I started using coupons again. I am very happy to report that between manufacturers coupons and my store shopping card, I saved $54.

I probably would have saved more, if I had been better organized. I guess this is the time I should tell you… I don’t recommend using a letter-size envelope as a coupon holder.

zippered-style-coupon-binder.jpgAn excellent alternative is a coupon binder. Yesterday, I received one to review. All I can say is “I love it”.

My new friend, Malissa, offers these on eBay. In my opinion, they are worth every penny. Please consider purchasing one from her. You won’t regret it. (They would even make a great gifts for the coupon lovers, on your list!)

My coupon binder is zippered and very sturdy. As you can see, in the picture, coupons are easily organized in plastic sleeves. The see-through plastic makes it even easier to locate the specific coupon you are looking for, when you are shopping.

The binder is organized, by topic. For your convenience, Malissa has divided the binder into the most popular food categories, but you can add your own, as well.

I also received a complete coupon insert with several high value coupons, a notepad, an ink pen, a current Walgreen’s rebate booklet and a tip sheet on how to make the most of my couponing experience.

If your store doubles or even triples high value coupons. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS! On my last shopping trip, I received many of my items free.

My husband has always been somewhat skeptical, when I’ve mentioned using coupons, again. But, now he’s a true believer. Just wait until he see’s how much MORE I’ll save, since I’ve got my new binder…… Thanks Malissa! :-)

I recently started using coupons again as well. With the internet being so popular it is easier than ever to find coupons for the items you want, not just what is offered to you.
I created a junk email account at yahoo which I use the sign up for all kinds of coupons when I go to specific websites for the stuff I use the most. This keeps my regular email box from filling up all the time with more offers which are sent to me.
