Homemade Brown Sugar

December 3, 2007 |

This is a very simple recipe, for homemade brown sugar. After making your own, you may never opt to buy a commerical brand again.

2 T. molasses
1 c. white sugar

All you do is combine the ingredients and mix well with a fork. How much simpler can it be?

For light brown sugar, use less molasses… for dark, use more. For best results you may want to let the sugar sit a couple of days, before using it. Doing so allows the molasses to completely permeate the sugar.

Recipe can be doubled or tripled and stored in a gallon-size Ziploc bag.

Recipe seems good, i use a similar one. Except add another tea spoon of sugar, for 2. It gives it a bit more taste and spice.
