I love cooking magazines almost as much as I love cookbooks. If you could see my office, right now, you would see what I mean. Every time I get a new one, my husband grumbles a little louder and reminds me that I’m running out of space.

Not long ago, I decided to invest in Taste of Home magazine. My Mom has several of the cookbooks. I’ve always admired them… especially the holiday edition.

Looking for the magazine, I stumbled across CookingZines.com. Out of the thousands of sites promoting magazines, these days, I decided to make my purchase there.

The site is very clean and easy to navigate. There are no flashy banners or pushy sales pitches… the two things I hate the most about Cyberspace.

The one thing that impressed me the most about CookingZines.com is the fact that they provide in-depth reviews, about each magazine. That is a definite perk, in my book.

It’s always a wise idea to read reviews and/or recommendations, on anything you are planning to purchase. (Especially when you will be doing so, via the Internet.)

Until I read the review, I had no idea that all of the recipes featured in Taste of Home magazine are reader submitted. I LOVE reader submitted recipes! To me, they are as ‘tried and true’ as you can get.

You actually purchase the magazines through a very reputable magazine vendor, at great discount prices. Depending on the publication, subscriptions start in about 4-6 weeks.

Because of the informative reviews, I now have a magazine wish list. I have the feeling that my husband will also be grumbling about Cooking Light and Everyday with Rachael Ray, in the very near future.

I received a gift subscription to Taste of Home when I got married and it was lovely! I tried out their Cooking for Two magazine too and that was nice, but our family grew quickly … Taste of Home is great.
